State v. Bell, 250 N.J. 519 (2022)
Zachary Levy argued before the New Jersey Supreme Court on behalf of amicus curiae ACDL-NJ urging the Court to affirm the Appellate Division’s decision that the rule of multiplicity prohibited the state from charging the defendant with multiple counts of leaving the scene of an accident where more than one person died in that accident. The Court agreed, holding that a driver fleeing the scene of a crash can be charged only once even if there are multiple victims.
