Overview
Howard is an associate at the firm, where he focuses his practice on complex civil litigation and white collar criminal defense. He represents individuals and companies across a variety of industries, from industrial conglomerates to national restaurant chains, real estate owners and developers to financial institutions. Prior to joining the firm, Howard practiced commercial litigation in Chicago, where he represented individual and corporate clients in all phases of litigation from pleadings through jury trials and appeals. Howard also earned a PhD in American History and wrote a book on the legal history of the American Revolution, Building a Revolutionary State: The Legal Transformation of New York, 1776-1783, published by the University of Chicago Press. Howard has taught a variety of college courses in American history and legal history.
