Jeffrey A. Walder

Of Counsel

Overview

Jeffrey A. Walder concentrates his practice in the areas of environmental litigation and compliance and commercial litigation. His interest in these areas dates from his law school days and his subsequent service as a law clerk to the Honorable Alan B. Handler, Justice of the New Jersey Supreme Court.

Prior to joining the Firm, Jeff served as assistant counsel to New Jersey Governors James J. Florio and Thomas H. Kean on environmental issues. In that capacity, he evaluated all environmental legislation presented to the governor for signature, attended committee hearings of the New Jersey Senate and General Assembly, and worked with the legislature in drafting legislation and providing advice thereon to the governor. Before serving in the governor’s office, Jeff was a deputy attorney general, handling environmental compliance and litigation matters at both the trial and appellate levels.

Jeff served as an adjunct professor of environmental law at Seton Hall University Law School. He has also served on the New Jersey Supreme Court’s Committee on Environmental Litigation, the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection’s Task Force on the County Environmental Health Act, and the Randolph Township Environmental and Open Space Commission.
